BIOGRAPHY

Jason and Kalii Roller are a husband and wife duo out of Nolensville, TN.  While they both write and sing many forms of music, as a duo they are working on their Bluegrass project and focused on their love of bluegrass music.  Jason is a multi-instrumentalist who plays almost all of the instruments on their songs as well as producing and engineering the project.

Heading 5
Jason and Kalii met in 2008 when Jason got hired to play guitar for Kalii at a show.  They were very quickly inseparable.  At the time, Kalii was still working on a solo project so Jason quickly began playing with Kalii frequently and they began writing together.

Over the years, it just naturally became more of a duo than a solo project as Kalii was almost never seen on stage without Jason and all song-writing was done with Kalii, Jason and a third person.  So it was a natural progression to put out a Christmas album together in 2018 which then led to diving in head first to working on a Bluegrass project.

Jason owns and operates MagicShack Productions - a full production studio in Nolensville, TN which is where The Rollers have been recording the project together.  They have co-written every song on the project with the exception of one song that dear friends of theirs wrote and they just fell in love with.

Jason currently does studio work around Nashville both doing demo and master scale projects in addition to his work at his own studio where he helps bring songwriter's visions to life.  Jason is also currently out on the road with the legendary country band Alabama.  Jason is a two time Grammy Nominee, having played on two Grammy nominated records, one of which he also engineered.  Jason has toured with a long list of amazing artists that include Rock N Roll Hall of Fame artist Dave Mason, Kellie Pickler, Joe Diffie, Tracy Lawrence, Wynonna, Mark Chesnutt, Dolly Parton, Gretchen Wilson, Darryl Worley, and John Berry.  He has shared the stage with countless others over the years.

Jason started playing music at just 4 and grew up totally immersed in Bluegrass music.  His dad plays Banjo, his mom guitar, so naturally, his first instrument was a fiddle because they needed that for the family Bluegrass band!

Kalii grew up outside of Chicago and while she started singing at 5, she was more focused on Christian music and powerhouse females like Natalie Cole, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey and Donna Summer.  Kalii wasn't even introduced to Country music until the age of 10 but she immediately fell in love.  It wasn't until she met Jason that she was introduced to Bluegrass music and fell in love again.

Kalii sang on stage with Shania Twain at just 13 and that opened the doors for her to travel with her own band all around the midwest performing and opening for many artists including Billy Ray Cyrus, Randy Travis, Charlie Daniels, Billy Dean, John Berry, Toby Keith, Suzy Bogguss and Neal McCoy. She even opened for such acts as Cheap Trick and Chubby Checker. Kalii has been at home in front of thousands of people several times when she performed at Country Thunder in Twin Lakes, WI. She has been able to perform at Country Thunder two times with several shows each time opening for acts like Phil Vassar and the Wilkinsons.

Kalii was also a a finalist for the tv show "Gimme the Mike Chicago!" and a two time finalist for the National Talent Competition "Colgate Country Showdown".  Kalii was one of 50 finalists being considered for the ABC show "The One" and was in the top 20 for the Christian television show "Inspiration Sensation".

Kalii signed her first publishing deal in 2008 which was followed by her first cut and all that led to her meeting Jason.  One could easily say, God had the best plan.
